TRUE GRACE

Recently, I had the privilege sharing a wonderful rainy Sunday afternoon with eight young women living in the Washington DC area.  We gathered for a “mini-retreat”…an afternoon in the Word, good food and a simple craft.

I was excited to share with these young women, the lessons I had learned about God’s true grace and to encourage them to stand firm in it even (or especially) when life seems so very difficult.

I had spent several months studying the book of 1 Peter (the foundation for the materials), praying and preparing for two other longer women’s events.  How could I take what I have prepared for a Friday-Saturday event and condense it in one afternoon?  As I prayed and struggled to rework the materials, I felt God’s answer with three session titles—Remember God’s Grace, Follow Christ’s Example and Prepare for Action.

Over the next few days I would like to share what I have learned with you. To remind you of God’s true grace and to encourage you to stand firm in it.
